My name is Cortney, I am 28 years old, and I grew up in the pinky portion of the
great mitten state of Michigan. After graduating high school I lived in 4 different states in the Eastern USA, and finally settled in Music City. Although I had traveled several times per year to various places in the United States, it wasn’t until I took a solo trip to New York City that I realized I am interested in obsessed with the life of a backpacker! Since then, I have traveled to 4 continents and left footprints in 8 countries.

Bit by the elusive travel bug in 2013, I embarked on a journey that I didn’t realize would later become the cornerstone of my current life’s pursuit. I started GoStray to teach and inspire others to experience life from a fresh and vivid perspective through the art of travel and diverse culture. The mission of GoStray is to build a community of people in collaboration with fellow travelers, based on authentic experience and a love for the Stray life.
